This is a detail of the office building on the corner of West Madison Street and Wacker Drive. It makes wonderful use of colored glass panels that reflect the light and the sky in different and interesting ways. Adding structural appendages and varying the qualities of the glass also saves the building from becoming a monotonous repetition of rectangles. The building was designed by Helmut Jahn.
