By superimposing these skyscrapers in the frame I endeavored to vividly emphasize the contrasts in style, texture, color and construction materials. The two structures in the background are the two towers of Marina City which opened between 1963 and 1967. The skyscraper in the middle is 330 North Wabash, formerly the IBM Plaza and ultimately renamed AMA Plaza. It was designed by Mies van der Rohe who died before construction began in 1969.
